Certificate of attendance

A Certificate of Attendance for the 9th European Multidisciplinary Meeting on Urological Cancers can be collected from this website as of Monday, 20 November.

Cloakroom/Luggage

A cloakroom is available and is at participants’ disposal during congress hours. Please be sure to collect all personal belongings at the end of the day.

CME accreditation

The ‘9th European Multidisciplinary Meeting on Urological cancers (EMUC)’ is designated for a maximum of (or ‘for up to’) 18 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. For more information, please click here.

It is the responsibility of the registering party to provide correct information and the EMUC Congress offi ce holds no responsibility with regards to the information provided. This measure is in accordance with the national and international pharmaceutical guidelines.

Disclosure links to industry

It is requested that all faculty disclose to the audience any links with the industry related to the topic of their lecture at the beginning of each presentation. A link can be: Being a member of the advisory board or having a consulting agreement with a specific company.

Electricity

Electricity supply in Barcelona is 220 Volts and the connection is made by a two-pin plug.

Please be aware that delegates from the USA will require a voltage converter. Delegates from the United Kingdom will require a plug adapter.

The app doesn’t necessarily require an internet access. You can use the app offline but please note that some features will only be updated when you’re online e.g. news, tweets, etc.

Exhibition

An exhibition will be held jointly with the meeting. Kindly check the programme book for profiles of the exhibiting companies, and their location in the exhibition.

Guests & children

In compliance with the Pharma Codes, we are not allowed to register guests (including children) and they can therefore not attend this event. Unfortunately, the EMUC office cannot offer any children’s day care facilities. If parents decide to leave their children in a part of the venue that is accessible without a badge, the EMUC office will bear no responsibility in case of incidents.

Hotel Accommodation

MCI is the official housing agency, selected by the congress organiser, to be in charge of the hotel bookings for EMUC17.  For more information on accommodation, please visit this page.

Insurance

The organisers do not accept responsibility for any personal damage. Participants are strongly recommended to arrange their own personal insurance.

Language

The meeting will be conducted in English, there will be no translation provided.

Lost and Found

Found items should be returned to the registration desk. If you lose something, please report to this desk for assistance.

Mobile Phones

During all sessions, please switch your phone to silent and turn off your flash when taking pictures.

Poster Print Service

Poster presenters who created their posters for EMUC17  through the “PosterSessionOnline” printing & delivery service, can collect their poster at the faculty desk, located in the registration area.

Press Centre

Journalists and medical/science writers can obtain free registration to the Congress. Press registrations have to be made through the online registration system (preferred) or onsite at registration desk. All media operators must show their credentials (press card dated 2017/2018 and original assignment letter). Journalists will receive a copy of the press pack and congress bag, to be picked up at the press centre. Internet access, fax machine, printer and photocopier are provided.

Safety

The safety of all congress attendees is of utmost importance to the European Association of Urology. Palau de Congressos and EAU have taken security precautions to ensure the maximum possible safety for all EMUC17 participants. All bags may be subject to inspection. Please take all personal effects with you when leaving a session room.

Scientific Posters

The scientific posters are displayed on 16-19 November in the Poster Area, located in the exhibition. Members of the EMUC Scientific Committee will visit the EMUC poster area to discuss the posters with the presenters according to the following schedule:

Smoking Policy

The EMUC Congress and the concomitant exhibition have been designated as non-smoking events throughout the entire venue, including all meeting halls, functions, registration and catering areas. All the participants are kindly requested to respect the no-smoking policy for normal and e-cigarettes.

Speaker Service Centre

All presentations should be handed in at the Speaker Service Centre (located in Room Prensa II, level 1), at least three hours prior to the start of the session.

Transportation

Delegates can collect a complimentary transportation pass in the registration area. The transportation pass is valid during 4 days and can be used for unlimited travel in busses, subways and trams within the city of Barcelona during the meeting.

Voting

EMUC17 will include interactive voting. Download the EMUC17 App and use your mobile device to vote during EMUC, or ask questions to chair. The app also features the possibility to rate the session. Go to the scientifc programme, click on the session and rate!
